DWSRF & CWSRF Water and Sewer improvement proposals

The City of St. Clair will hold a public comment period and a public meeting on the proposed Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) Water Main Replacement Program and Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) Sanitary Sewer System Improvements Program for the purpose of receiving comments from interested persons.

The meeting has been scheduled for Monday, April 20, at 6:00pm, during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting in the City Council chambers, located at St. Clair City Hall, 547 North Carney Drive, St. Clair, Michigan 48079.

The purpose of the proposed DWSRF project is to replace all aging 4-inch water mains within the City’s water distribution system with new 8-inch water mains and to replace known lead or galvanized water services connected to 4-inch water mains with copper water services to comply with current regulations for water distribution systems established by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE).

The purpose of the proposed CWSRF project is to rehabilitate certain locations within the sanitary sewer system that were identified to be in poor structural condition.
