Per the Charter, the election commission consists of the city attorney, city clerk and city superintendent. They shall decide all disputed or uncertain questions of procedure relating to elections except those relating to the procedures or internal affairs of a political party and operatoes under statutory authority established from Public Act 116 of 1954, the Michigan Election Law (MEL) also cited as Michigan Compiled Law (MCL) 168.1 to 168.992.
