About the Board

Duties & Responsibilities

The Zoning Board of Appeals is quasi-judicial body of seven regular members appointed by the City Council on to three-year terms, draws its powers from State Act 207, PA 1921, and the City’s Zoning Ordinance. It has the ability to grant variances or exemptions to the zoning ordinance in instances where there is evidence of hardship.

Dates & Times

The Zoning Board of Appeals meetings are held on an as needed basis on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00PM. Meetings are held in the council chambers (lower level) of the Municipal Building: 547 N. Carney Drive, St Clair, MI 48079.
